Hello all. Its been a while since my last posting. My family was in town and its been crazy.
So...Just a few days ago my Fiance came to me with an idea. She said she wanted to come up with a game. Some sort of 3D game. She wanted something that was similar to one of here favorite anonymous games. I told her that there is a lot of work involved in creating a game especially a 3D game. I told her I would help. So we shall see how that goes.
I had some interest in a open source program in the past. I am sure you have heard of it. Its called Blender 3D. I loved it but never really had the chance to get into learning it all the way through. There are so many different things to learn that it feels like it is impossible to accomplish.
So I set out to start learning it again. One tutorial at a time. I plan to use the game engine in Blender to create the game if we decide to actually make the game. I like the game engine because it works on almost all platforms. PC, Mac, and Linux.
I might post some of my rendered images here in the future. I still am having trouble though. It is just a hard to learn application.
Wish me luck!
P.S. I am following along in a book. I will post the info and a link shortly!
I picked up a book called YouTube: An Insider's Guide To Climbing The Charts by Alan Lastufka & Michael W. Dean. I read it from cover to cover. I haven't read a book from cover to cover since college where they forced you to do it. I am not much of a reader unless it is something that I can stand reading.
This book is "awesome"! I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about YouTube and how to gain from it. The book doesn't promise that you will become rich like most other books do. They state that loud and clearly.
This book is very healpful and teaches everything from movie making to how not to hack your way to the top. It explains the rules and copyright laws involved as well as many other interesting things.
I would recommend you go out and buy this book if you are interested in going from YouTuber to Producer.
